What is TECS Summer Camp?

TECS (Technology, Engineering, and Computer Science) Summer Camp is a 4-day camp designed for and open to high school students currently in their sophomore or junior years. This year the camp schedule will run from Monday, June 10 through Thursday, June 13.

Camp Tracks

When registering, students will choose a track, this will determine what they will be learning at the camp and which professors they will be working with. Each Track was designed and is taught by one of SUU's professors.

 CAD/CAM Track

  • Learn to use Solid Works to create a custom design Mini Racer.
  • 3D print your custom design Mini Racer and compete in the Mini Racer challenge.
  • Animate and stimulate your custom design Mini Racer on a Digital Track.
  • Discover Architectural Design with Revit and SketchUp.

 Mechanical and Aerospace Enginieering Track

  • Learn about the effects of space on the human body and mind.
  • Learn about meteorites, dinosaurs, and life on earth.
  • Learn about mathematics in engineering.
  • Boil water at low temperature.

 Robotics Track

  • Build and program your own robot.

 Cyber Security Track

  • Learn about software development and coding.
  • Have fun developing your own small device application.
  • Explore computer security and cyber crime.

Program Costs

  • $175 for Program tuition
  • $350 for Room and Board

Half tuition and half room and board scholarships are available.
