Faculty Professional Development

SUU Online has partnered with CETL for a learning community for spring 2018.

Online Design, Development, and Delivery

Learn how to apply best practices in course design, development, and delivery to your online courses. Through a series of four sessions, participants will learn about the fundamentals of backward design, formative and summative assessment techniques, meeting the needs of online learners, providing a learner-centered experience, and interacting with students.

The Online Design, Development, and Delivery Learning Community will meet Tuesdays in EVT 221, 3:00 - 4:00pm, and includes the following sessions:

  • Backward Design (February 6)
  • Assessment, Transparency, & Rubrics (February 13)
  • Student-Oriented Focus & Needs of Online Learners (February 20)
  • Belongingness: Presence & Feedback (February 27)

While participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions (which will result in a Certificate of Completion), attendance at single sessions is possible. Please  by Monday at noon of the week of each session.
