Welcome to the Veterans Center

The Veterans Resource and Support Center exists to retain and graduate military-connected students by delivering programs and services designed to recruit, retain, and support military-connected students as they pursue their education goals and the achievement of skills needed to lead productive and meaningful lives.

The term “military-connected students” includes military veterans, active-duty military personnel, reservist, guard or dependents who may be utilizing educational benefits of a member of the armed forces. 


Notice of Process Change: Starting at 9am on February 20, 2018 students can request certification by clicking the adjacent button. The Contact Us form will no longer be used to request certification. Students must be logged in to their mySUU Portal account in order to request certification. If you have any questions or any issues please contact the Veterans Center.

Notice of Process Change: Starting Fall 2017 when a student requests certification from VRSC, their student account will be flagged to prevent the student’s courses from being dropped. In addition, notes will be made to clarify the amount the student was certified to the VA. Students will no longer see a credit applied to their account. If SUU does not receive payment from the VA, or the payments do not cover the full cost, the student will be liable to pay that amount through their own personal resources and/or a satisfactory payment arrangement with the Cashier's Office. Once the student’s account has been paid in full, either by the VA, or personal payments, they will have access to any refunds entitled to them. Students will receive the refund either by mail, or direct deposit.
